Have a beastly good time in the Bavarian Forest!

Animal lovers of every age are welcome in the Bavarian Forest. Come and see our native animals! Have “beastly“ fun every day – on an exciting trip to a farm, on horse-riding holidays, on an excursion to the wildlife enclosure area of the Bavarian Forest National Park or to one of the animal parks nearby.

Wildlife enclosure area

Walk through the forest of the wildlife enclosure area of the Bavarian Forest National Park and you will meet native animals such as otters, owls, lynxes, eagle owls and wolves. (in Lindberg and in Neuschönau).

Tip: "Haus zur Wildnis" (House to Wilderness) in the Falkenstein-Rachel area
Starting from the parking area outside of Ludwigsthal, you can explore the spacious and near-natural wildlife enclosure for lynxes, wolves, aurochses and wild horses and have a sense-stimulating tour through the "House to Wilderness". There is even an interesting Stone Age cave.
